The 'Pictures and Pins' page I promised has turned into 'Dragonflies and Butterflies' as I thought this was a more accurate description. I have finally added this long awaited page to my site, after solving a problem I was having loading up my images. Please take a look at the framed insects and decorative pins.
The ‘Arts and Crafts Emporium’ opened on 21st of June at Hasland Green, Chesterfield next to the chemist, on the same side as Mary Poppins nursery.
The shop showcases the work of 10 local artists. As well as my work, you can see scrapbooking and papercrafts, cards, jewellery, woodcrafts, fimo clay work, stainless steel and paintings.
Come along and see our work and chat to the artists, we all take a turn in manning the shop.
A big 'thank you' to everyone who came to see me at the Crafts @ the Castle event at Bolsover Castle, and to the Open Arts event in Wingerworth, Chesterfield during May. I enjoyed both events very much and of course meeting you all. A particular 'thank you' to all those who bought my work. I create individually handmade handbags, handmade bridal bags and many other unique pieces of textile art. Each item is entirely unique, not just a limited edition. The perfect finishing touch to that special occasion outfit, or wedding gown.
I have designed all the patterns for my bags, and created most of the fabrics used. I finish all my bags individually with hand or machine embroidery, beads, sequins shells or cords.
The result is an entirely original bag. The items you see on my 'products' pages can never be exactly repeated.
When its gone, its gone.
